TikTok Subscription Emotes Guidelines


Rules and Guidelines


When creating and editing the emotes, the following requirements shall apply. The following requirements shall apply at all times when you create, edit and use emotes.


1. Respecting TikTok Policies

When you are creating and editing emotes, you shall adhere to TikTok’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Examples of content prohibited from use in emotes by our Community Guidelines includes, but is not limited to, the following:

• Hateful conduct, claiming that they are physically, mentally, or morally inferior
• Harassment, such as using TikTok interactive features (e.g., duet) to degrade others
• Threats of violence, such as violent or graphic deaths or accidents
• Obscene content, such as extreme or gratuitous depictions of violence, blood, gore, severe injury, and death
• Sexual content, such as content that depicts, solicits, promotes, normalizes, or glorifies non-consensual sexual acts or non-consensual touching, including rape and sexual assault
• Nudity, such as content that explicitly or implicitly depicts sexual activities including penetrative and non-penetrative sex, oral sex, or erotic kissing
• Illegal drugs, such as depictions or references to illegal drug use, drugs, and drug paraphernalia.

2. Respecting Rights of Others

You should only create or edit emotes for which you have all necessary rights, including but not limited to intellectual property, trademarks, copyright and right to privacy. It’s a violation of our policies to create or edit emotes that include unauthorized uses of another person’s content, brand, image, or other rights. Failing to do so may expose you to a takedown request or legal liability. TikTok reserves the right to remove such material from TikTok. Examples of content you should not use without permission or other authorization include but not limited to:

• Content that you do not own or otherwise do not have the rights to use on TikTok, includes but not limited to:
  
• Assets and content from other TikTok creators and channels.
• Another person’s artwork or photographs.
• Content source from other types of media, such as games, movies, and TV shows.

• Another person or organization’s name, logo, and other identifying marks.
• The likeness of another person (such as the face of a celebrity or athlete).

3. Formatting

Any materials submitted for the creation of emotes shall be:

• With size no bigger than 1MB; and
• With resolution no smaller than 256*256.

4. Violation

Violation of these guidelines may cause, not limited to restriction of your use of the subscription services. You will be notified of our decisions prior to any of the action we take in accordance with TikTok’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
